14th annual Mother's Day Paint-In and Craft Fair

The Mother’s Day Paint-In and Craft Fair will feature the works of Vancouver Island artists, artisans and craftspeople.
The day of art and music begins with a main stage performance by District of Soul at 10 a.m.followed by Mike Lefebvre and the Perros Libres trio at 11:45 a.m.; Chikoro Marimba Band at 1 p.m.; and the West Shore Community Band at 3:15 p.m.
Admission to the Japanese, Italian and Croquet gardens is free for the day and tours of Hatley Castle are free for mothers and discounted for others.
Children’s activities include crafts, games and face-painting with Tickles the Clown making an appearance at 11:15 a.m.; Farmer Vicky and Daisy the Cow at noon; and Twiggly Wiggly at 2:30 p.m.
Admission to the popular outdoor festival is free. Parking proceeds – $5 for the day – will go the university’s Legacy Heritage Fund to support maintenance and restoration activities for the site.
