5. How do I get a copy of a document that I submitted when I applied? (accessing your file)
We are able to make a copy of a document that you submitted yourself (personal statement and resume) for a $11 administrative fee.

These documents DO NOT include official transcripts and reference letters.  A copy of a reference letter will only be provided with the written and signed consent of the referee giving permission for the letter to be copied and issued.

Upon receiving your written request, submitted examples of personal work that formed part of an application file can be requested to be returned one year after the decision is made regarding an application.  It is the learner's responsibility to arrange pick-up and delivery of these requested items.

If you are a registered student at RRU click here to make your request. If you are an applicant at RRU (you are not registered for a program) click here to make your request. Please be sure to provide payment information at time of request.

6. How is GPA calculated at RRU?
To calculate your GPA a numerical value is assigned to each letter grade.  For more information, please visit the grading section on our website.

Example: A learner has completed six, three-credit courses and a 0.5 credit course.  He received five As and one B in the three-credit courses and one B in the 0.5 credit course.

3 credit courses: 3 (credits) X 20 (A = 4.0) = 60
  3 (credits) X 3 (B = 3.0) = 9
0.5 credit course: 0.5 (credits) X 3 (B= 3.0) = 1.5
70.5 / 18.5 = 3.81 GPA
SUM = 70.5
Total number of credits completed = 18.5

Grades are weighted.  This means that they carry different values depending on the number of credits the course is.  (A four-credit course carries more value than a two-credit course)

Please note that your GPA is calculated electronically at the time the grades are entered into the Student Information System.
